I am a freelance IT, telecoms and general business journalist, editor
and professional copywriter, with 15 years’ experience of writing
for a diverse range of prestigious magazines, newspapers, corporate
clients and marketing agencies in the UK.
As a journalist, I write regularly for mainstream publications including
The Guardian, plus a wide range of specialist trade magazines from
Computer Weekly and Communications News to Revolution magazine. I also write for the consumer press, including The Times and a range of lifestyle magazines, and cover topics such as mobile phone purchasing for buyer guide publications. Before going freelance, I spent 10 years as a staff journalist and magazine editor in London.
As a corporate copywriter, I have worked extensively for many of the
IT industry’s biggest names, from Microsoft and Cisco to Cap
Gemini, The Chartered Institute of Accountants and the Management
Consultancies Association (MCA), producing all kinds of written matter,
from customer case studies and newsletter content, to Web content,
by-lined articles, press releases and white papers.
I specialise in producing copy tailored to the target audience and
can turn the most technical and ‘product-oriented’ content
into subtle but hard-hitting, ‘real-world’ marketing material
that speaks directly to managers at the highest level of a company,
who may have no IT knowledge at all. Thanks to my background in
journalism,
meeting impossible deadlines is second nature. The pages of this Web site will take you through all the various aspects of my work, detailing the subjects I cover, the clients I work for and examples of my work. For further information, please contact me using the details opposite.
